Two Philosophies, One Force

The Jedi and the Sith offer opposing answers to the same question: how should a Force-sensitive being use their power?

The Jedi seek harmony with the Force, suppressing personal desire in service of the greater good
The Sith pursue mastery over it, using passion and aggression to amplify their power
The Bendu represent a third path — the centre, between both extremes
The Grey Jedi walk a line, drawing on both sides without being consumed by either

The Chosen One Prophecy

The prophecy of the Chosen One — one who would bring balance to the Force — shapes the entire saga:

Anakin falls to the dark side, becoming Darth Vader

Vader destroys Sidious, finally fulfilling the prophecy

Luke Skywalker

Beginning as a farm boy on Tatooine with no knowledge of his heritage, Luke became the last Jedi of his generation. His defining act was not defeating Vader in combat but refusing to do so — trusting in his father’’s capacity to return to the light.

Darth Vader

Once Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight and prophesied Chosen One, Vader represents the Force’’s most catastrophic imbalance. His fall was rooted not in hatred but in love and fear of loss — which made his eventual redemption both believable and earned.

Emperor Palpatine

A master of manipulation as much as the dark side, Palpatine engineered the fall of the Republic and the Jedi Order across decades of patient scheming. His power in the Force was matched only by his patience in wielding political influence.

Rey

A scavenger from Jakku with no known lineage — until she had one — Rey demonstrated that the Force could call to anyone. Her training was fragmented and unconventional, yet she faced Palpatine at Exegol as the culmination of every Jedi who had come before her.
